Sisters

I often get asked why I don’t photograph weddings. It’s because of sessions like this. Families and their close connections are my jam.

I had so much fun with these girls. I love seeing their individual personalities, as well as them coming together as a close family unit. This mom and dad have a great bunch.
There is something special between sisters, and one of my biggest hopes for my own girls are that they remain close and nurture this amazing bond as they grow up.

My WHY

Why do I do what I do? Why do I love to photograph families?

Simple. Life is beautiful.

I use my photography to show families that they are beautiful. Sometimes life can get busy, rough, and messy, so it is my job to remind you how beautiful your family is. It is easy to take the little moments for granted. Remember those little feelings, the little hands and feet, and kissing that adorable nose.

As humans we crave connection, belonging, and love. I want to show you that you already have that in abundance.

I create beautiful pieces of art as reminders of the love that your family shares.

Please don’t wait for the ‘perfect moment’ - your family doesn’t care how you look. They cherish the memories that you made together.

We are all worthy of being in front of the camera, to have our moment in the ‘limelight’, and to have art created and shared in our honour.
Below are some of my favourite moments from this summer. Look at all the love.

Family fun at Acadia Beach.

To think this all happened because of a lost wallet.
Yes there are good people out there. I met this awesome family, because one day this mama found my wallet on the ground after I had quickly ditched the park due to rain. I remember walking my neighbourhood hoping that I would find my wallet, and feeling very discouraged. Then all of a sudden an email popped up on my phone (I have some business cards in my wallet) saying that this lovely lady found my wallet and she was close by. I was so happy that I started doing a happy dance down the street.
I of course offered a family session as a thank you.

I’m so happy that I got to photograph this family and their little girl, she is just so sweet, and this session was just a few days before her First birthday :)
I had so much fun with them at Acadia beach, turns out they had their engagement photos taken here as well, and I can’t wait to see them again.

Thank you for having fun with me, for allowing me to photograph your sweet little girl, and of course thank you for finding my wallet 😁

Stress-free Newborn photo session

Want to know the secret to a stress-free newborn session?
It’s easy, listen to your baby.

I am a family lifestyle photographer that specializes in using natural light. I strive to show the deep love and connection between families, and it is my goal to create a fun and safe session for families to express themselves.

What does lifestyle mean? It means that I capture this exciting time in your life just the way it is: perfect. I am excited and honoured to capture your precious newborn, and my newborn sessions are always done in the comfort of your own home, where you and your baby feel safe. Your baby will guide how this session unfolds. For example, if your baby wants to be held for the duration of the session, then that’s what we do. Your baby is perfect just they way they are. Therefore, I don’t try to make babies do what they don’t want to do or force them into unnatural poses. I want to make this time easy and stress-free for you. As parents of a newborn you have enough on your plate, so trust me and trust your baby to lead the way. What is important is that I capture this special time in your life.

Having a new baby is both amazing and exhausting at the same time. I have two children myself, and I completely understand what you are going through. My job is to capture and show you how beautiful, and full, your life really is. Please relax and be at ease with me while I’m photographing your family, and think of me as a friend.  Honestly, just be yourself.
